Referral Program
Earn SOL by referring subscribers to channels. CryptoGated supports multi-tier referral tracking with automatic attribution.
How It Works
Get Your Link
Go to Dashboard → Referrals, select a channel, and generate your unique link.
Share It
Send the link to friends via social media, DMs, or your community.
Earn SOL
When someone subscribes through your link, you earn a reward automatically.
No manual slug entry needed
Tier 2 referral chains are detected automatically. If you were referred by someone and later generate your own link, the system links your referrer behind the scenes.
Referral Program Modes
Hosts configure their referral program with one of these modes. The mode determines who can generate referral links for the channel.
Public (Anyone)
Anyone can generate a referral link, even non-subscribers. Maximum reach.
Public (Subscribers)
Only active subscribers can generate links. Encourages existing community to refer.
Private (Invited)
Only users invited by the host can refer. Full control over who promotes.
Disabled
No referral program for this channel.
Multi-Tier Tracking
CryptoGated supports two-tier referral chains, giving you an incentive to build a network of referrers.
Tier 1 — Direct Referral
You share your link → someone subscribes → you earn 25% of their payment.
That person generates their own referral link...
Tier 2 — Indirect Referral
Their referral subscribes → you also earn 10% of that payment. The tier 1 referrer earns their 25% as normal.
Reward percentages shown above are examples. Hosts configure the exact rates for their channel.
Reward Configuration
Hosts set the reward structure for their referral program. Here are the configurable options:
Reward Type
Percentage of the subscriber's payment (e.g., 25%).
Timing
One-time (first payment only) or recurring (every payment).
Attribution Window
Days after clicking before the referral expires. Default: 30 days.
Payouts
Once you've earned referral rewards, here's how you get paid:
- Referral earnings appear as "pending" payouts in your Referrals dashboard
- For channels with managed wallets and auto-pay enabled, payouts are processed automatically — SOL is sent to your managed wallet
- For manual payouts, the host triggers them from the channel's referral settings tab
- View all your referral links, click counts, conversions, and earnings in the Referrals dashboard
Track your performance
Your Referrals dashboard shows total earned, pending payouts, total clicks, and conversions across all your referral links. Use the date range filter to see performance for specific periods.
